Steve Franckhauser was invited to present on the topic of "Marcellus Shale and Wealth Planning" at a Fifth Third Bank informational seminar. With the discovery of the Marcellus Shale, Butler and Beaver County landowners are in a position to benefit financially. Franckhauser will speak on how to handle this wealth.

The event will take place on August 10, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM
at the Fifth Third Bank Cranberry Banking Center.

Wild Things Promotion

On Saturday, August 14, 2010, FGS&M was a sponsor of the Washington Wild Things game - throwing out the first pitch, passing out free hot dog certificates to 100 lucky children, and providing one random winner with two tickets to a Pittsburgh Steelers game. The winner (pictured right) was Meredith Walter of Elizabeth, PA.

The evening’s first pitch was thrown out by
FGS&M’s Frank Rapp, with the help of
Alison Smith’s two sons.

Susan H. Wilkie Award

On June 4, 2010, Feldstein Grinberg Stein & McKee presented Sister Suzanne Susany, a Duquesne University's School of Law student, with a cash prize of $1,000 at an awards dinner at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel. FGS&M's annual award, called the Susan H. Wilkie Award, goes to the Duquesne Law graduating student who, in the opinion of the faculty, most displays the qualities of ethical and collegial conduct for which Susan was known. The 2009 award recipient was Christopher S. Lockman.

The award was created in 1993, in memory of FGS&M partner Susan H. Wilkie, shortly after she passed away from colon cancer. A well-respected and admired attorney, Susan joined FGS&M in 1973 after graduating from Duquesne’s law school.
